English 10 G./H.: Students completed their grammar chapter 3 test review covering sentence clauses. We will take the test next Tuesday due to scheduling issues this Thursday.

English 10 G./H.: We continued reading and discussing “Thanatopsis.” We will finish the poem and complete all after reading questions next week.

March 14, 2019

English 10 G./H.: We finished our 3.3 & 3.4 lesson and began working on our final review lesson covering sentence run-ons and sentence fragments (3.5.) We will continue the review next Tuesday.

March 13, 2019

English 10 G./H.: We began reading William Cullen Bryant’s “Thanatopsis” as our first poem of the unit. We will continue reading and discussing the poem on Friday.

March 12, 2019

English 10 G./H.: Students began their grammar work covering noun clauses (3.3) and sentence structures (3.5.) We will continue the assignment on Thursday.

March 11, 2019

English 10 G./H.: Students turned in their quarterly D.E.A.R. project, and afterward, were given the remaining time in class to complete their crossword puzzle. The “pop quiz” crossword puzzle was handed out, and it is due Wednesday.

March 8, 2019

English 10 G./H.: Students continued working with their partner on their poetry crossword creation. All crosswords and definitions are due Monday.

March 7, 2019

English 10 G./H.: Students began working with a partner on their poetry unit introduction activity. Students are to define each of the major terms we will discuss during our unit. From their definitions, students will then create a crossword, which will be accompanied with a key.
