English 9:  The students completed their grammar work covering Other Confusing Verbs (6.7,) Mixed Review, and the chapter 6 Mastery Test.  The students need to complete the grammar worksheet (Front/Back) for homework.

English 11:  The students read chapter 8 of Lord of the Flies, and completed their post-reading questions (Front/Back.)  The students need to read chapter 9 and complete their post-reading questions for homework (due Thursday.)

English 9:  The students read chapters 7 & 8 of To Kill a Mockingbird, and finished their chapter summary and post-reading questions.  The students need to complete their Pen Pal assignment for homework.  *Make sure all letters are written in the first person point of view, and include specific details from the events of the novel.*

English 11:  The students took their second Lord of the Flies quiz covering chapters 4-7, and continued watching the film.

English 9:  The students read chapter 7 of To Kill a Mockingbird, and finished their post-reading summary.  We began reading chapter 8 and will finish it tomorrow.

English 11:  The students read chapter 6 of Lord of the Flies, and began reading chapter 7.  The students are assigned to the post-reading worksheet for each chapter (Ch.6, Ch.7) for homework.  We will be taking our second Lord of the Flies quiz covering chapters 4-7 on Monday.

English 9:  The students read chapter 6 of To Kill a Mockingbird and finished their post-reading paragraph summary.  The students need to choose the most exciting scene from the chapter and create a full-page illustration (colored) for homework.

English 11:  The students read chapter 5 of Lord of the Flies, and completed their post-reading questions (Front/Back.)

English 9:  The students read chapter 4 of To Kill a Mockingbird, filled out their paragraph conflict summary, and completed their Ch.3 & 4 quiz.  We began chapter 5 and will finish tomorrow.

English 9:  The students completed their grammar work covering Active and Passive Voice (6.5) and The Mood of a Verb (6.6).  The students need to finish their grammar worksheet for homework.

English 11:  The students took their Ch.5 grammar test, and reviewed Ch.4 of Lord of the Flies.

English 9:  The students began watching Gregory Peck’s film interpretation of To Kill a Mockingbird.  We also began listening to the audio version of Ch.4.

English 11:  The students began reading chapter 4 of Lord of the Flies.  The students need to finish reading the chapter and complete their post-reading questions (front/back) for homework.  Students also need to review chapter 5 of their grammar book; they will have their test tomorrow.
